GREEN
BUILDINGS IN AUSTRALIA: BARRIERS AND DRIVERS
In Australia , around 10% of greenhouse emissions are attributed
to commercial buildings, of which office buildings and hospitals
contribute around 40%. This paper is based on a report compiled
for the Victorian Building Commission reviewing the lessons learned
from the construction of a number of contemporary green commercial
buildings in Melbourne, including 60 Leicester Street (60L), Council
House 2 (CH2), National @ Docklands, Queen Victoria Village (QV)
and the Southern Cross development (Tagaza and Wilson 2004).
